As a fellow gadget lover I have been plagued by "proprietary" connectors in my gadgets for quite awhile. It isn't until recently that the companies making said gadgets got a clue and decided to standardize on Mini and Micro USB. However, a few standouts still remain; thus my desire for a small cheap "iAdapter".
